FEED NOVA SCOTIA's Helpline is a 24-hour, provincial telephone support service that strengthens individuals, families and communties. Trained staff and volunteers on the Helpline provide support for people experiencing distress in their life by listening, and helping them work through it.
Each call is different, and the issues span a broad range of topics such as relationships, mental health concerns, addictions, parent support, food insecurity, and housing concerns.
FEED NOVA SCOTIA's Helpline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Helpline is funded in part by the provincial government's Child and Youth Strategy, with a focus on providing parental support.
