Register to Volunteer

In an effort to reduce the number of people who come in contact with our facility, beginning Tuesday, March 24, we are reducing operations to staff only.

To our incredible volunteer community,

We are navigating unchartered territory with the outbreak of COVID-19, and our situation is changing daily. We know that we are not alone in this – and we are thankful for the support.

In an effort to reduce the number of people who come in contact with our facility, beginning Tuesday, March 24, we are reducing operations to staff only. We did not arrive at this decision lightly.  We appreciate that, as volunteers, you are caring and passionate people and you may find it hard to discontinue your work, even temporarily. It is what we love most about you! However, we have to heed the advice of public health authorities and develop strategies to protect the well-being of our volunteers, agencies, and in turn, the clients and communities we serve.

While volunteering at Feed Nova Scotia is on hold, we can still help one another. We can still reach out to our loved ones, check in on each other, and find creative ways to safely provide support. Please watch our website and social media channels for operational updates and don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email, even if it’s just to say hello.

Stay safe and be kind to one another,

Carly & Ashlan
